Hey everyone,
I just recently got the chance to sit down again with Matt Caruso, a veteran trader and recent Top Performer in the US Investing Championship.
We got the chance to cover a lot of relevant topics in this interview, specifically how Matt approaches trading in an environment where cyclical names are leading and technology stocks are struggling.
We also cover how he uses proprietary indicators to guide his market analysis and stock selection.
Watch the full interview here:
Matt has a fantastic grasp on how to combine both fundamentals and the big picture with short term trading tactics and technical analysis.
I particularly enjoyed the discussion on the current macro environment and why his analysis has led him to focus on Oil and Gas Stocks, Fertilizers, Miners, and other groups showing strength at this moment.
We also walk through his recent trades in BRCC MOS and ARCH to explain how he brings his whole system together.
Commodity related stocks have been leading and we discuss how Matt adapts his style to this different environment.
Matt’s views on the current market conditions and big picture can be found 26 minutes in.
Enjoy and have a great weekend! More articles and posts coming soon!
Best,
Richard
Hi Richard, thanks for another great video.
BRCC was not an IPO it was a SPAC, sometimes you can notice this by the chart they tend to start trading around $10 and then when the reverse merger materializes they move either way in price and volume.
For IPOs the IPO opening price is always a very importante reference price to consider in the chart.

Any change you will be interviewing someone with successful SPACs trading experience? That would be another awesome interview to bring to the trading community.
I really don’t know anyone to suggest you.
It was really nice to watch your presentation in the Boston Meetup, keep up the nice work that your doing!
Thanks again,
